Snazzipants Nappies & The Clean Water Project

  • 2 minute read

Snazzipants nappies come in funky designs and are darn good leak-proof nappies.

Snazzipants have paired up with the Cambodia Clean Water & Toilet Project, organiser Darrel Steer and his team who were getting ready to make another trip over to Cambodia. Along with their installation of septic tank toilets and clean water bore pumps, we asked if they could help distribute some Snazzipants nappies too. The answer was a resounding yes, and we’re thrilled to help out!

We’d love to share with you a bit more about this great project of his which is making a huge difference in the lives of many Cambodians.

Snazzipants Nappies Head to Cambodia

Darrel’s grassroots organisation ‘Cambodia Clean Water &Toilet Project’ is involved with the installation of water bore pumps and sanitary toilets for rural Cambodian villages. They aim to raise the standard of health and hygiene of locals, and work in 2018 was concentrated on the villages around Siem Reap, close to the iconic Angkor Wat temple.

The end of 2017 saw Darrel’s team having achieved the installation of 118 septic tank toilets and 46 clean water bores.  The basic necessities of life like these should be available to everyone, and it is wonderful to see that Darrel’s team is making this a reality for many.

With less than 10% of young girls completing high school one possible barrier could be poor health due to inadequate hygiene at home. Having clean water and sanitary toilets can help improve health, and give locals hope for a better future through being able to attend school.

When we heard about the Cambodian Clean Water & Toilet Project, we wanted on board. As toilet training experts, our first thought was that we could help those not quite ready to use the toilet yet.  When Darrel told us of the many young mothers who were struggling to care for their babies with limited resources, we thought about our Snazzipants nappies. Why not ask Darrel’s team to distribute some to local Mums on his next trip?

Darrel watched a quick demonstration about how to put a Snazzipants nappy onto a baby, and he was ready to take on the world! He promised to pass on the nappies and his knowledge to mums who would benefit from them. We were thrilled to know that we could help!
