I have tired a few different types of steel pegs and these have been the best for laundry purposes (about to order a bunch more!). They are very strong, great for general washing, but are not too hard on the hands to constantly open. (I have kept the stronger, but much stiffer, pegs for kitchen use). They are also a very reasonable price and won't need to be replaced over time like plastic or even wooden pegs.
